Charlotte PCEA Scholarship CPCC Fund

 

The Charlotte Professional Construction Estimators Association (PCEA) and Central Piedmont Community College Foundation, Inc. have entered into a special scholarship partnership to benefit students enrolled at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC).

 

The PCEA Scholarship CPCC Fund has been established to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students on an annual basis.

 

This Scholarship will pay full tuition and books to in-state students, up to the full amount of funds available.

The Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to CPCC for the items indicated above for students meeting the criteria outlined in this document.

 

The $1,000 annual Scholarship is for first year students only with $500 each at $250 per semester to a student enrolled in any of the Trades Programs at Harper Campus and to a student enrolled in the Construction Institute. Students are to be encouraged to attend at least one meeting annually of the Professional Construction Estimators Association.

To Qualify, One Must

•1.      Be a student taking a minimum of 6 semester hours at Central Piedmont Community College.

•2.      One student to be enrolled in any construction related Trades Program and a second student enrolled in the Construction Institute.

•3.      Have financial need as determined by CPCC.

•4.      Maintain a minimum of a 2.5 grade-point average.


 

Selection Method

Recipients will be selected by the CPCC Financial Aid Department.

Award

The term of the award will be up to one academic year. Awards are paid at the beginning of each session through the issuance of a CPCC voucher for tuition and books.

Contributions, gifts or payments to the Professional Construction Estimators Association are not tax deductible as charitable contributions.  However, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expense.
